Shirtdress-A shirt long enough to cover the booty and short enough to not be considered a dress.I could get into length and hems, but that would be a waste of typing space :)
This is a great addition to any closet because of it's season versatility. So many times we think each season has different styles and colors, when in fact most all can be coordinated to be worn year round. (Yes, every season has it's set "Pantone" colors of the season, but most of them have 2-3 that carry over from Spring to Summer to Fall.)
The "Shirtdress" can be worn with the following:
- Tights and Ballet Flats (Wedges for Summer or Boots for Winter)
- IF LONG ENOUGH, can be worn with heels in the same color scheme (DTI)
- Looks great worn casually Shawl-like jacket
- Dress any of them up with a skinny belt, pumps, and a clutch with gold jewelry
When: Spring, Summer, Winter
Where: Shopping, Dinner/Movie Nights, Semi-Dressy Parties
How Much: Range starting at $35

Love the drawstring and the shape of this particular one is flattering to any body figure. The collar gives it a sophisticated, yet playful look. I would where this to any function or a girls' night. Personally would attach gold jewelry and some sort of white/cream wedges or black pumps for an evening event.
Use any of these tips to turn any shirtdress into the ultimate wardrobe essential. Refinery 29.com has a great article on this http://www.refinery29.com/shirt-dresses. Visit for great looks, and see how you can take these and make them your own!
Basics may be basic, but I promise you, they will never go out of style ;)
Best Dressing,
Jess
P.s. "DTI" means Dress to Inspire. Remember that in all of the postings, it is always better to inspire than impress.
